THRIVE45: The Perimenopause Strength Program I Wish Every Woman in Georgina Knew About

Hi, I’m Dr. Alli, chiropractor, fitness coach, mom of three, and, like many of you, a woman in her late 30s who is suddenly realizing: no one prepared us for perimenopause.

If you’ve known me for a while, you know this is exactly how my work evolves. I don’t create programs because they’re trendy; I create programs to fill the massive gaps in women’s healthcare that shouldn’t exist in 2025… but still do.

That’s why THRIVE45 exists.


And after seeing the incredible results from our first round—women building real muscle, reducing symptoms they were told were “just part of getting older,” and walking away more confident in their bodies than they’ve felt in years—I know this program is something special.

But let me back up for a second and tell you why I created this in the first place.

It Started With Postpartum… and Realizing How Wrong the System Was

Over ten years of post-secondary education, I learned how to rehab shoulder injuries, strengthen ankles, fix low backs, help headaches, and yet when it came to postpartum women, the system basically shrugged and said:

“Wait six weeks. You’re fine.”

A six-week clearance? After pregnancy? After birth? After abdominal and pelvic floor trauma?

It made no sense.


Our muscles respond to progressive rehab. Our core responds to targeted load. Our pelvic floor is not a mystery, it’s a muscle group.

So I built GROWCO, bringing real postpartum rehab to women who deserved it. What started in Georgina grew into a national movement. It was one of the greatest joys of my career.

But then something else started happening…

The Conversations Shifted… Women Started Whispering About Perimenopause

Women in their 30s, 40s, and 50s started telling me things like:

  • “I just don’t feel like myself anymore.”

  • “My workouts don’t work.”

  • “My sleep is trash.”

  • “I feel puffy all the time.”

  • “My mood is all over the place.”

  • “No one takes me seriously. They say ‘welcome to getting older.’”

And I realized… this was postpartum all over again.

Another massive gap.

Another stage of life women are expected to “tough out.”

Another place where we deserve so much better.

And remember: menopause is just one moment, 12 months without a period.


Perimenopause is the 5–10 years leading up to that, and the symptoms can hit long before we expect:

  • Irregular periods

  • Weight changes

  • Sleep disruption

  • Anxiety or mood shifts

  • Brain fog

  • Hot flashes or night sweats

  • Decreased muscle mass

  • Lower resilience to stress

Women were whispering about these things, not realizing every other woman was whispering them too.

Why Muscle Is the Most Protective “Hormone Helper” You Have

This is where Dr. Stacy Sims’ research changed the game for me—and for THRIVE45.

She has shown again and again:

Women in perimenopause NEED heavy, intentional strength training.

Because muscle is protective.

Muscle helps regulate blood sugar.
Muscle steadies our changing hormones.
Muscle reduces symptoms of perimenopause.
Muscle makes hot flashes less severe.
Muscle protects bone density (which plummets during this stage).
Muscle literally keeps our metabolism from crashing.
