ANCHOR | health + fitness centre is seeking a part-time Fitness Coach who will bring energy, expertise, and a welcoming presence to our members’ fitness experience. At ANCHOR, we are more than a gym—we’re a results-driven strength & conditioning studio attached to a multidisciplinary health clinic. Our mission is to help our members build confidence, resilience, and long-term results through community-driven fitness.

The ideal candidate will thrive in small group training environments, have a passion for coaching, and bring strong knowledge in strength & conditioning principles. Spin coaching experience is an asset, as ANCHOR is also home to a boutique spin studio.

We are urgently hiring for a position for our "fit mom club" a strength and conditioning class for moms where children are welcome to attend and sit on the side during class.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire members in small-group strength & conditioning classes with energy, professionalism, and care.

  • Deliver personalized coaching and technique corrections to ensure safety and results.

  • Cover spin classes if certified (asset but not required).

  • Promote ANCHOR programs, classes, and community events to enhance member engagement.

  • Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the fitness floor and studio spaces.

  • Support front desk operations during shifts (member check-in, inquiries, basic admin tasks).

  • Collaborate with team members to create a seamless and motivating member experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience coaching groups (strength & conditioning, HIIT, functional training, or CrossFit-style preferred).

  • Personal Training or CrossFit certification (required).

  • Standard First Aid/CPR certification (required).

  • Spin coaching certification (asset).

  • Strong communication skills and ability to connect with diverse groups of people.

  • Team-oriented, reliable, and enthusiastic.

Schedule (all or some)

  • Mon - Thurs 10-11

  • 1–2 Saturdays per month (mornings).

  • Morning, afternoon, and evening covers as needed.

  • Opportunity to take on a caseload of personal training clients.
