Here’s a look at your 2020 programming plan for CrossFit Georgina:
January-March - Strength
April-June - Gymnastics/Olympic Lifting
July-September - Conditioning
October-December - Peak Fitness/Testing
In the coming weeks, you’ll challenge yourself with shorter workouts that focus on producing top end power and strength. Your coach will explain the stimulus of these workouts, and it’s important that you dig in and dig deep - this is where the magic in continual progress occurs!
Strength will not only include external loading strength (weights) but also gymnastics strength (bodyweight).
Some days, the focus will be HEAVY. We’re looking for you to empty the tank in the strength department, rather than “saving” yourself for a conditioning piece. You’ll see the appropriate programming to apply intensity without over-fatiguing your central nervous system.
As always, don’t forget about the priority work you should see on the board every day as well as on SugarWOD. Spend a few minutes each day and do the extra work - hard work pays off!
