You Don't Have to Live With It. Postpartum Rehab That Actually Works.

The Postpartum Problem Nobody Talks About Honestly

After having a baby, most new moms in Georgina and Keswick are handed a six-week clearance and told they're good to go. But for the majority of women, six weeks is just the beginning of what can be a long list of ongoing physical challenges — challenges that often go untreated for months, or even years.

Pelvic floor dysfunction affects up to 1 in 3 women after childbirth. Yet the conversation around postpartum recovery in Ontario rarely extends beyond generic advice to "do your Kegels." The truth is, postpartum rehabilitation is a clinical science — and it deserves the same attention as any other sports injury or physical rehabilitation.

That's precisely why the team at Anchor Health & Fitness Centre in Keswick created GROWCO: to fill the enormous gap between a six-week checkup and actually feeling good in your body again.

Common symptoms GROWCO addresses

💧Leaking when you sneeze, cough, or jump

🔵Diastasis recti (abdominal separation)

⚡Pelvic pain or pressure

🦴Low back & hip pain after birth

💪 Core weakness & instability

😔Loss of confidence in your body

"We help prevent, reduce, and resolve symptoms women have been made to think are an inevitable consequence of childbirth."

What Is GROWCO? Georgina's Only Doctor-Led Postpartum Rehab Program

GROWCO is a clinical postpartum rehabilitation program based at Anchor Health & Fitness Centre at 443 The Queensway South in Keswick, Ontario. It is designed and led by Doctors of Chiropractic with specialized expertise in postpartum care and pelvic health — making it one of the most medically rigorous postnatal programs available to moms in the Georgina region.

Unlike generic "mommy and me" fitness classes, GROWCO is grounded in evidence-based rehabilitation principles. Every element of the program is intentional, every progression is monitored, and every mom receives individualized attention within a supportive small-group environment.

The four pillars of GROWCO

01 Functional Training

Real-world movement patterns that rebuild total-body strength — safely and progressively.

02 Mobility Work

Targeted mobility to address the postural changes that come with pregnancy and early motherhood.

03 Pilates Methods

Low-impact Pilates-based exercises that reconnect you to your deep core and pelvic floor safely.

04 Pelvic Health Rehab

Clinically designed pelvic floor rehabilitation — not just Kegels — to restore true function and control.

The result is a holistic program that transforms your core, pelvic floor, and total body — helping you step into a strong, confident version of yourself after birth. Whether you're a first-time mom or working through recovery after your third child, GROWCO meets you exactly where you are.

GROWCO Level 1 & Level 2: Your Full Recovery Journey

GROWCO is structured as a progressive two-level program, ensuring that your rehabilitation moves forward with you at a pace that's safe, effective, and sustainable.

Level 1: Rebuild the Foundation

For moms 6 weeks to 12 months postpartum. This is where you reconnect to your core and pelvic floor, address symptoms, and build the functional foundation for everything else.

Level 2: Build on Your Progress

For graduates of Level 1. Continue your rehab journey with increased demands on strength and muscle endurance — still tailored, still clinically guided.

You can repeat either level as many times as you like. Your body's recovery is not a race, and GROWCO is designed to support you through each chapter of that journey. Before moving to Level 2, you'll check in with your referring chiropractor or the class lead doctor to review your progress and ensure the progression is right for you.

Covered by Your Chiropractic Benefits — Here's How It Works

One of the most common questions we hear from moms in Georgina and East Gwillimbury is whether GROWCO is covered by insurance. The answer is yes — and this is one of the things that truly sets our program apart.

GROWCO classes are eligible for coverage under your chiropractic or pelvic floor physiotherapy benefits. For many families in the Georgina area, this means you can access a full clinical postpartum rehabilitation program at little or no out-of-pocket cost.

To get started, here's what you need to do:

  • Book a Chiropractic Initial Assessment at Anchor Health in Keswick (required before your first GROWCO class, or bring a recent postnatal follow-up note)

  • Register for your chosen GROWCO session through the links above

  • Submit your visits to your insurance provider under chiropractic or pelvic floor physio benefits

  • Show up — babies and kids welcome!

Not sure what your plan covers? Call our team at 905-535-4449 or email info@anchorhere.ca — we're happy to help you figure it out before you commit.

Babies Welcome. Seriously.

One of the biggest barriers to postpartum recovery isn't motivation — it's logistics. Finding childcare so you can attend a rehabilitation appointment is a real challenge for new moms in Georgina, East Gwillimbury, and Keswick.

At GROWCO, we've removed that barrier entirely. Babies and children are always welcome to accompany mom to class. Bring your infant in their carrier, set up a playmat beside you, or let your toddler roll around while you rebuild your pelvic floor — we've seen it all, and we love it. This is a judgment-free, mom-life-is-real zone.

When Can You Start GROWCO? Timing Your Postpartum Recovery

We generally recommend waiting 6 weeks after birth before beginning GROWCO Level 1. This allows initial tissue healing to occur and ensures your body has the baseline readiness for rehabilitative exercise.

That said, every body is different. Some moms who had an uncomplicated vaginal birth may feel ready to begin earlier — and that's a conversation worth having with one of our clinicians at your postnatal initial assessment. We'll assess your individual readiness and make a recommendation that's right for you, not just a general guideline.

GROWCO Level 1 is designed for moms 6 weeks to 12 months postpartum, so whether you gave birth recently or are realizing months later that your body still doesn't feel right, you are exactly the person this program was built for.

And if your baby is older than 12 months? Don't count yourself out. Talk to our team — we've helped moms of all ages, at all stages of motherhood, restore core and pelvic floor function that they assumed was simply gone forever.
